A delightful face mask for my temperamental skin!

Monday, 17 August 2015

Gone are the days where I could experiment with my skincare routine. I have a very strict, slightly boring and simple skin routine these days and I rarely venture with new products. However, I recently decided I wanted a nice face mask to treat my skin to something more.

This mask claims to remove dead skin cells, moisturise and smooth the skin. It is for normal and dry skin, however I have personally found it perfectly fine with my sensitive skin. Once I have used this mask my skin appears brighter, feels softer and feels calm. The oats work as a scrub so as I'm removing the mask I like to rub it around my face in circular motions to scrub away the dead skin.

I apply this once a week during my sunday night pamper and it honestly is so relaxing because the smell just reminds me of breakfast! Weird that that relaxes me, but oh it's just so good! It applies really easily, despite it being a thick mask and washes off easily too, as it does not dry hard.

Hopefully I can find some other products that work with my sensitive and temperamental skin! Any recommendations?

Body butter love

Friday, 20 July 2012

I'm pretty much in love with anything from The Body Shop, but if there is one thing I can't get enough of it's their body butters. I adore fruity and nutty scents so when I saw these two in the sale for only £6 each I jumped at the opportunity and bought both!

It's a little hard to describe smells but oh my they both smell beautiful and the scent seriously lasts on the skin all day! The almond body butter makes me smell like cake and who doesn't want to smell like cake? They are also super moisturising and leave my skin nice and soft, although I sometimes put a little too much on which can leave my skin a little sticky, but that's my own fault! I also have the cocoa body butter which I posted about here, which was my favourite but almond has taken over!

If these were in the sale does this mean they have been discontinued? I hope not because these won't last me long at all, I regret not stocking up!

What's your favourite body butter?

Body shop 'love your body' loyalty card

Thursday, 12 July 2012

I don't know about anyone else but it's new to me that the body shop actually have a member card and I recently purchased one and ever since have been amazed with the discounts, offers and freebies it has given me that I wanted to share it with you guys.

The love your body card costs just £5 for a years membership and can be bought in store and online. Once you purchase it you automatically become a member and straight away can start enjoying the benefits of this card.
The best thing about this card is the amount of benefits that you actually receive.

♥  10% off all purchases both in store and online
♥  two free gifts totalling £15 on your 4th and 8th stamp
a free gift in the month of your birthday worth £5
♥  exclusive discounts on certain products for members only

Whenever you purchase something in store or online you get the 10% discount. In store you collect stamps every time you purchase something over £10 and on your 4th stamp you can get a free gift worth £5 and on your 8th stamp you can get a free gift worth £10. Unfortunately the stamps can not be obtained through online shopping, only in store.

When I signed up for the love your body card I received a free full sized earth lovers shower gel worth the value of £5, which then made the card worth the money without even using it! However, I'm not too sure if all stores or online provide you with a free gift for joining.

I honestly think this card is totally worth the money, straight away I made back my money with the free gift for joining and then throughout the year the total in free gifts is £20 and on top of that you can get 10% off purchases! Amazing!

Disclaimer: I was not asked or paid to write this post, I just wanted to share something I think is amazing & such good value!

Favourite body butter

Sunday, 22 April 2012

I've always loved cocoa butters for how moisturising they are and the amazing scent they have. However, I've always been quite fussy with which ones I buy, as some can smell quite cheap and generally not feel that nice on the skin. But there is one that I can't get enough of and that's the body shops cocoa butter. It smells amazing, and doesn't have that cheap smell that some body butters can have, especially cocoa butters. I have quite dry skin occasionally, due to having eczema and this doesn't irritate it at all and actually moisturises my skin really well. The scent lasts on the skin all day and doesn't feel sticky or heavy. However, if you put too much on it can become quite heavy on the skin, so only a little is needed, which is always great news!

Would love some more body shop body butter recommendations if you have any!

Body shop satsuma

The body shop satsuma body polish
The body shop satsuma puree body lotion mini

I received both of these for my birthday and the second I opened them I just knew that this would become one of my favourite body shop scents. As with all body shop products they just smell amazing, the satsuma smell is just beautiful, really fresh and summery. It's a bit hard to get across how amazing these both smell by writing about them, but you just have to smell these when your next in the body shop! The body polish is an exfoliator which leaves my skin feeling really soft, looking radiant and smelling amazing. The body puree leaves my skin feeling really moisturised, leaving such a long lasting scent on my skin, as does the body polish. I love both of these products and will be re-purchasing both of these, including the full sized body puree when they run out.
