I've always loved cocoa butters for how moisturising they are and the amazing scent they have. However, I've always been quite fussy with which ones I buy, as some can smell quite cheap and generally not feel that nice on the skin. But there is one that I can't get enough of and that's the body shops cocoa butter. It smells amazing, and doesn't have that cheap smell that some body butters can have, especially cocoa butters. I have quite dry skin occasionally, due to having eczema and this doesn't irritate it at all and actually moisturises my skin really well. The scent lasts on the skin all day and doesn't feel sticky or heavy. However, if you put too much on it can become quite heavy on the skin, so only a little is needed, which is always great news!
Would love some more body shop body butter recommendations if you have any!

great review :) I've seen the vaseline cocoa body butter, which although I've never tried out, has a lovely smell! As for the body shop I adore the pink grapefruit body butter, but says is more suited towards 'normal' skin, so may not be good for your excema. Although fragrance-free, I've heard great things about Oilatum for dry skin/excema, so if you haven't tried that out I recommend you do so!xxx

thank you for your lovely comment :) I have the vaseline one, and yes that smells lovely, but prefer this one. A lot of people have told me about the pink grapefruit one, it may be okay for me, so may try. I use oilatum already, it's great for my skin :)
DeleteThe new Chocomania butter is great for eczema/sensitive skin - it's the only one I can use after shaving, so I will definitely try this one as I do hear lots of rave reviews! Only three big ones and two little ones to go... x

thank you :), will do! x
DeleteI hate that cheap cocoa butter smell too! I was slightly disappointed with the smell of this one but it's so moisturising it's well worth it - think i've just been spoilt with the smell of the Palmer's cocoa butter which i used to use all the time! You should try that it is really great :) Now everyone knows how much i love cocoa smelling things though i get a tonne of them for Christmas and hardly ever have to buy my own!
